Our buzzing little café opened almost five years ago and swiftly became a favourite with the locals of Ascot and the surrounding suburbs.

About Us

Vanilla Pod cake and deli café is delivered to you with passion, quality and style by Carla & Scott Burns, their podlings Imogen & Lottie and Carla’s parents Teresa & Charles Fuller, not forgetting their clan of friendly staff.

Carla is an eclectic mix of foodie and designer, her natural creative spirit inspires everyone she meets. Scott is baking in the kitchen now and attends events with our Mobile Cafe. Imogen turns 4 in October and is a closely followed by Lottie who was 3 in December. They are both little charmers with the customers, and love to help their Pa & Mama in the kitchen when they aren’t in the cafe enjoying a cupcake and a mini milkshake.

Charles and Teresa have had successful careers in the hospitality and baking industry for over thirty years. During this period, they owned and operated several successful businesses. Charles is a qualified baker, pastry chef and perfectionist! He produces our delicious cakes and savouries. Teresa has a passion for cake decorating which she perfected early on in her career, not to mention giving Charles some competition in the kitchen! They are both assisted by our talented chef & cake decorator Jessica Shand.
